A different question

A patron remarked that every hour there is a differnt face at thr Information Desk. I told him yes, every hour or two.

"Do you volunteer here, or do you get paid?" he asked.

"We get paid," I answered.

"Not too much," he smiled as he remarked, "but you get paid."
